Field Notes: Trusting the Process
I spent part of this week reviewing material from my Arctic Circle Residency and showing parts of it to the public and to trusted friends.
This part of the process for me is tricky because I know everyone wants to see something and everyone is excited about the product but I’m still thinking about it. And in talking things out, I realise I am thinking about many things. Everything is still very open and wide and it’s hard to follow one curiosity over another.
I also had a brief conversation about applying to do my masters degree but how it also feels like the wrong time. I’ve always considered doing a masters when I felt creatively low-energy or when I needed something new to open me up again to the possibilities.
But I feel like that still after returning from the high north.
This is really such as space of exploration and producing; I haven’t really felt this way before.
I’m just trying to trust the process.
I hope you continue to watch this space while I continue along.
This week’s curiosities:
I finished reading Ice: Nature and Culture by Klausw Dodds this week. This was such a needed pre-requisite read for my trip.
I’m still considering this Climate Conversations Podcast episode about how climate change remains a niche. How do we include it more in mainstream conversations?
