Hey there. My name is Cheyenne Alexandria Phillips, aka The Poetic Scientist.

I am a writer, performer, and spoken word poet that likes to dabble in craft, creative coding, site-specific work, and more. I often write about the environment and sustainability but I generally like making working on all the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (collectively known as STEAM) subjects- depending on what curiosities I decide to follow.

I often find myself deep in research when I am writing about the different topics I am interested in. Many times, not everything I read or research makes it into a poem or a play or a podcast or a piece of work. A lot of great information that I find during my process is left out.

So I started this newsletter as a space to put some of this research. It is also a space of experimentation and musings, to document a creative process that is often not very visible when you are making art. There is a lot that goes into the creative process and if you would like to get a glimpse into mine. I’ll post as regularly as inspiration comes!
